Blake Lively is in New York to promote her latest film, All I See is You. On Monday the actress was in full-on red carpet mode, donning several eye-catching pieces straight from the runway. She switched gears into a more causal zone yesterday and was seen strolling the streets of Manhattan with her husband Ryan Reynolds. Lively and Reynolds have always had enviable couple style, channeling old Hollywood icons at the White House, dressing up as a family with their kids on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and bringing high polish to the Golden Globes. Their most recent off-duty looks have the same complementary elegance, hardly what you’d call matchy-matchy, but still totally in sync.
Lively, dressed in a Max Mara oatmeal cardi-coat and tonally coordinated fedora, added sophisticated touches to her ensemble with some help from Chanel, namely a chain-link lady bag with oxblood red trim and thick-sole boots. Similarly, Reynolds kept things classic in a neutral tone palette. Grounding his outfit were tobacco suede boots that, like his wife’s footwear, proved that the best Fall essentials can be chic and cozy, too.
